The last few years we've done a year end review post and this year is no different...except it's getting harder and harder to pick pictures. :-) I'm super stoked to report that my goal was to blog post at least once a day this year..on average anyway...and we've done it! Almost 400 blog posts in 2009. I know we don't post just work related posts...on purpose. We want to post the quirky tidbits and the special moments in our personal lives. As readers, we hope you get a glimpse into our lives, personalities, and our style.

We've had a great team this year with some surprise help too, such as my friend Jenny - who sadly moved away just after we shot a few engagement sessions together. And we've hired some great new office staff this year - Carie is the bomb! And we launched our new look with our new website.

I thought I'd do something a bit different this year and tell you why I love our clients so much. And, why they become our friends. We don't shoot a ton of weddings every year, rather we try to connect with those who exemplify and share in my passion for life....and living. My clients are the best and I love them all.

Jessie and Brian hold a very dear place in my heart. Jessie is such a 'tell it like it is girl' and Brian just adores her. Every email I've ever received from Jessie has been full of excitement. Jessie was diagnosed with terminal cancer - but chose to ignore deaths' knock. And the love they feel for life shows in every photo we took of this couple...and you may recognize them as we have made them our 2009/2010 ad models!

I appreciate that my clients, such as Stephani, let me know they are thinking of me and making sure I'm okay when they read about my mom being in the hospital.

When I first met Marites and Gil I knew we were meant to become friends. Gil's chosen theme for their wedding was "Passion for Love. Passion for Life." Gil and Marites had the best reception of 2009...with their choreographed first dance that had the guests cheering....until Tyler sang Pretty Woman to Larissa. Tyler and Larissa are so full of life! Now there is a tie for the "best reception of 2009."

I won't go into every couple and every wedding, but every one of our clients has a special place in my heart. We connect on colors, on shoes, on food (yes, I'm a firm believer in eating!), on music, and mostly we connect about life. I hope what you see in our year end review is what defines our style. I tried very hard not to select detail shots, although we love them, because it's the people that matter most. You will see quiet moments with loving looks, you will see some sexy moments, but mostly you will see a lot, and I mean A LOT of laughter. And of course, you'll see some of my favorites of the year. Waiting for these special moments...to capture these special moments...it's so vibrantly full of life.

All our clients are beautiful - inside and out. Thanks for making 2009 such a remarkably wonderful year!

Please click the below image of Jessie and Brian, to start the Year End slideshow. Enjoy! Please be patient as it loads.

With the Holidays fast approaching it's been a bear to try and schedule appointments in between our family photo shoots and other events. Hence we're premiering Laura and Gary's album draft right here and now on the blog.

I wanted to share with a few of my favorite album spreads.

Remember, Laura and Gary were married at Newcastle Wedding Gardens. And as Laura walked towards Gary on the ceremony pathway for their first sighting, I love this series of emotion!

Of course Newcastle Wedding Gardens has some of the most fabulous trees and outdoor settings.

And if you're willing to walk a bit, this hidden gem at Newcastle Wedding Gardens has to be my most favorite images of Laura and Gary's entire day. Click here or on the below image to start their album slideshow. Enjoy!

I met with Christie and Jen to show them their album draft today. They've been so patient as I had to whittle down the 300+ images that I wanted to use to a smaller quantity. :-)

Tina's Fun Facts

Personal Musings

Gummy Bears are the best.

I love Christmas. But more specifically Christmas Eve. My grandmother used to host our family every year at her house and my mom took on the tradition after she passed. I have such a huge family and there's always so much going on in the house throughout the night. There's never a dull moment and so much happiness in the atmosphere!

My favorite colors are Bluish-greens and greenish-blues. You get the idea!

I love late Summer, into early Fall, when the nights start getting really cool and the delta breeze kicks up.

I fluctuate between being a girly girl and a tom boy. It depending on activities and festivities.

I hate it when people flake on me!

My last meal would be homemade Mac 'N Cheese.

My favorite decade of music is the late 60s into the 70s when rock and roll started and took on psychedelic, folk, progressive and blues undertones.

It depends on the day of the week you ask, but as of today my favorite song is Blood Bank by Bon Iver.

My favorite band changes too. Not somuch by the day of the week, but rather by the month. Right now I've really been digging this duo from Mexico City, Rodrigo y Gabriela. It's all mostly acoustic and very Spanish Guitar sounding with metal influences. It's really great stuff!

I love learning!

I'm addicted to caffeine. It's bad!

Hollister Co. used to make a perfume called August. I wore it when I lived in Southern California and it reminds me of where I was at in my life while down there...carefree, bonfires at the beach, always out and about, live music every weekend.

My favorite all time movies are The Goonies and The Sandlot.

I have two dogs, Roxy and Goldie. Roxy is a crazy mutt consisting of Rottweiler, Labrador, Pit Bull and whoknowswhatelse! Goldie is a lovable German Shepherd mix.

Currently my favorite TV show is True Blood.

There's so much good food in this world. But my favorites would be Thai, Mediterranean and Mexican.

I'm my own worst critic.

I come from a large extended family and have thus become very family oriented. Even close friends become family over time!

I've dislocated my should four times.

I'm accident prone...hence the dislocations.

I'm an only child.

I went to Catholic school for nine years.

I am mildly allergic to Mangoes and Avocados. It's very sad but I still eat them anyway!

CDs...what are those?! My iPod is always being utilized in the car. The group that I last listened to is Calexico.

I love....
